Stepping into Hospedería Colonial de Villa de Leyva felt like entering a charming Colombian family home, exuding warmth and hospitality. the staff, with their attentive care and endless coffee refills, made our stay truly memorable. the simple yet cozy rooms were adorned with traditional decor, offering a glimpse into the country's rich cultural heritage. the central courtyard was a tranquil oasis, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the nearby Museo del Carmen. Despite the firm mattresses, a common feature in Colombian accommodations, we found comfort in the quaint surroundings and personalized attention. the convenient location just a stone's throw from the bustling square allowed us to easily immerse ourselves in the vibrant local culture. the on-site restaurant served up delicious Colombian fare, adding to the authentic experience. Wandering through the garden and relaxing in the hot tub provided moments of serenity amidst our adventures. the proximity to Iguaque National Park and Gondava Theme Park offered exciting outdoor excursions, ideal for nature lovers and adventure seekers.
